If I Could Freeze Time

(Wow, it's been so long, I almost forgot what this page looked like.  I wish I had an excuse about getting my kids back into the school swing, or that I just got back from vacation or any other somewhat valid excuse for the long blogging pause, but really I just needed a break.)
But now, on with our regularly scheduled program.

Parker will be two next month.  Where has the time gone?  While many children give kisses from as young as 6 months (yes, the wet slobbery kind), Parker barely blew us kisses starting sometime after he turned a year old.  Kisses just weren't his thing.  They really still aren't, I could ask 100 times in a day (and I do) and I may only get one kiss.  I give him a zillion and he will laugh and laugh but I think he knows that I want his sweet puckered lips to touch mine and just won't give.  I can't tell you how many times I end up kissing his nose or his actual teeth.  But I'm looking for the real deal.  Is there really anything sweeter than a genuine kiss from your almost two year old?  I didn't think so.

There is one time during the day where if I could just freeze time, I would.  Almost every single night Aaron puts Parker to bed, it's their thing.  I tell him I love him, remind him that "Momma, Daddy and Jesus love him" and off they go up the stairs.  Usually right after I say this Parker smiles sweetly and says "nigh, night" (Yes he leaves off the first "T").  Aaron tells Parker to give me a kiss and this is when he will lean over (if Aaron is holding him) or run to me, purse his lips and kiss me.  It is one of my favorite moments of the day, albeit small, it's genuine and sweet.  What more could a mother ask for?

If only I could freeze time for these small minutes of sweet baby kisses.

There is simply nothing sweeter than those kisses. And if you figure out a way to freeze time, please, oh, please share it with me.

Aww my son is also a reluctant kisser, has always been. The grandmas know not to even bother to ask. He lets me kiss him (on the cheek, on the head, etc) and occasionally like this weekend he will just walk up and give me a sweet little kiss on my lips and it just melts me.
I think just pause a minute to savor those kisses.

I love this age. My youngest turned 2 a few months ago and he's just such a cute little thing.

They grow up so fast.

You said, "remind her that". Her? Are we hinting at something or do you often refer to your male child as a female?
